So I have been thinking about getting my dermals taken out-opinions?

I have two under my collarbones but a few months ago I had ripped one out in my sleep. I got it put back in the next day, but ever since I did it hasn't been as close to the skin as before. It snags on things all the time and it gets really irritated because it is raised. My doctor said she could have it taken out by another doctor who used to be a surgeon. So I guess I am just wondering if it would be better to have a piercer take them out since they know the jewelry better, or have the doctor take it out with a chance of having less scarring?
