Article about priest"confused'?

was reading a article on catholic church closings .this was year july 2nd.2005.this article was printed in a st.louis,missouri newspaper.also on vindy.com and chicago tribune and knights riders newspaper.it spoke about a priest that used to be a energetic former bartender.i am,lost.does the priest have a past and was a bartender in a st.louis,mo. bar or they talking about bar tending beer booths at there church fish frys lol!
