Does defeat of the creationist agenda in Florida's schools mean a victory for science and better education?

Things like this always leave a bitter taste in my mouth, because despite all efforts, creationism is STILL taught in schools. I went to high school in Florida, and we were taught in my science class that evolution is JUST a theory, (without explaining what that means, or giving other examples of theories, such as gravity), and that God was another valid explanation to life. And, before anyone goes assuming, this was taught to me in 2004, not thirty years ago, or something.
